Custom millwork for a modern tech office space in downtown Poughkeepsie, designed with a warm yet contemporary palette to complement the client's creative work culture.

This project involved the full-scope design, fabrication, and installation of custom commercial millwork for the new headquarters of TechStart Inc., a tech-forward firm with a focus on collaboration and comfort. The scope included: A custom communal worktable system with integrated cable routing and matching low-profile storage benches. A feature wall with black vertical slat paneling, integrated LED sconces, and concealed access channels for AV wiring. Executive office and meeting room desks, fabricated to spec and installed on-site. From the beginning, we coordinated closely with architects and the general contractor to align with their construction schedule and design intent. Final shop drawings were produced within 10 business days of field measurement. Logistical Challenges & Execution: The site, located in a multi-story building in downtown Poughkeepsie, presented logistical constraints including freight elevator limitations requiring sectional breakdown of all millwork components. Deliveries were scheduled outside business hours to avoid disruption to building tenants. Our team worked in tandem with electrical and AV subcontractors to ensure proper rough-in behind the slatted feature wall. Results & Feedback: The result is a refined yet inviting office space that mirrors TechStart's values: clean, functional, collaborative. The millwork serves as both a visual anchor and a functional solution for a busy tech team. Client feedback praised the seamless installation and attention to detail.
